Over the course of the five-year programme, seven cities across five countries in Africa have been touched by the ACF programme:
- Nairobi (Kenya)
- Naivasha (Kenya)
- Nakuru (Kenya)
- Maputo (Mozambique)
- Antananarivo (Madagascar)
- Kumasi (Ghana)
- Bamako (Mali)
The work has now ceased in all of these locations as we prepare for the final closure of the programme in June.
Throughout the programme, a grand total of about 165,000 people had received improved access to water, 113,000 to sanitation and over 385,000 to important hygiene messages. This means we’ve touched 665,000 lives. To put it another way, we’ve improved about 2.1 Icelands or 1 Athens (city proper).
